NASA and Boeing are gearing up for the upcoming crewed flight test of the Starliner spacecraft, which will launch atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex-41 in Florida. The mission, targeted for mid-April 2024, will carry NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams to the International Space Station for a stay of about one to two weeks.
In celebration of Earth Day, NASA announced six new airborne missions aimed at studying various aspects of our evolving planet. These missions will focus on arctic coastal transformations, wildfire-induced weather phenomena, urban air pollution, landscape adaptations to changing weather patterns, retreating glaciers, and agriculture, providing targeted insights into Earth’s functioning and translating that knowledge into practical applications for people.
